NYC 6-8 month sitter session

It was so great to see Lena again for her sitter session. I photographed Lena’s newborn session 7 months ago, right before the pandemic started. Lena’s mom had contacted me in the summer about doing a milestone session for her daughter. Her mom let me know she was getting close to sitting up unsupported. We had scheduled her session a month after she was getting close to sitting.
Lena’s cheeks definitely stood out during her newborn session and again at her milestone session. She definitely has the best cheeks I have ever seen on a baby and is one of the most beautiful babies I have photographed. I loved the side profile of her where you could really see her cheeks stand out.
These milestone sessions are done at 6-8 month when the baby is sitting up unsupported for several minutes at a time. I love capturing this milestone. It’s a great way to document babies in between their newborn and one year sessions. Unfortunately due to the pandemic I wasn’t able to do several newborn sessions. I encouraged parents to use their deposit towards a sitter session instead. At this age you are able to capture their personalities and sweet little smiles.
