NYC Newborn Photography Session

Josie’s parents knew exactly what they were looking for when it came to a newborn photography session for their daughter. Josie’s dad also has an interest in photography so it was especially important for them to find a photographer that lined up with their needs.

I was so excited when they messaged me to tell me my aesthetic was exactly what they were looking for. They told me that her nursery colors were blush pink, mint and grey. Most parents choose pink as one of the colors for their daughter’s session. I love how Josie’s parents chose mint, as I have a few mint girly headbands that rarely get used! We kept the color palate soft with minimal accessories so the focus would be on their daughter. The colors complimented her skin tones perfectly and mom’s outfit choice was a perfect way to tie in all of the colors.

They showed me space in the nursery where they were planning to display her newborn session images. I can’t wait until they get them up! I usually get to see their newborn images when I come back for their one year milestone session. As a photographer I always encourage parents to print out their images instead of only having them saved digitally.
