Best Brooklyn Cake Smash Session

Kensley’s cake smash took place in their apartment in Brooklyn. Kensley’s mom found me through another client of mine. It’s always an honor when previous clients refer me to their family/friends!

Kensley’s mom wanted a purple color theme for her daughter’s session. She chose this beautiful Japanese floral cake that my baker Jess made and we paired it with my lavender happy birthday banner and romper. Prior to the cake smash we also did pre-cake smash portraits in purple as well!

Kensley was actually born at 28 weeks old, and spent a long time in the NICU. Kensley was able to finally go home on Christmas Eve. NICU babies have a special place in my heart as I am a practicing neonatologist. It was extra special for Kensley’s mom to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday, and all of the milestones she has achieved in her first year.
