Chloe’s mom wanted to do a cake smash for her first birthday that was different from the pink and purple cake smash sessions that I do. We decided to do a baby blue floral theme. I loved how it turned out, and loved that blue could be for girls too!
Normally I use pink flowers for my floral hoop set ups, and found these perfect blue flowers at Michael’s. I still have these blue floral hoops set up and ready to go for the next girl that wants to do them! The blue floral headband and pretty light blue romper coordinated perfectly together for this theme.

Chloe had a great time with her cake. She spent a lot of the cake smash picking off the little flowers we placed on it. We also got her to clap and shake to one of her favorite songs.
It’s fun getting creative with my cake smash shoots while keeping within the style and aesthetic that I photograph. I’m always coming up with new ideas and looks to break out of my comfort zone.
