Best In-Home NYC Cake Smash Session

Harlie was a little doll for her cake smash session. I had seen her last at her newborn shoot. Mom had contacted me prior to the shoot to see if she could use a tutu dress from iloveplum. I tend to use tulle dresses that lay more flat, but I love the simplicity of the iloveplum dresses. So we decided to use it! The brighter pink dress looked great with Harlie’s fair skin. Her mom bought her this cute custom cake topper to use on top of it.

Harlie interacted with her cake in the beginning but then quickly decided she’d rather be off set. Towards the end of the session after she had been crawling off the set, dad held her and mom made silly noises. We got the cutest smiles, laughs and giggles from the last few minutes of the shoot! If anyone has worked with me before, they know I’ll keep trying with the child for a while, as sometimes the best moments happen at the very end of the session!
