Kassius was such a beautiful baby to photograph! Big sis JoJo was smitten over him, and was so excited when I told her it was her turn to take photos. They certainly look like siblings with the more gorgeous green eyes and hair (would love her curls!) He was such a perfect baby to photograph. I love how mom chose mostly neutrals for his session. She also wanted to incorporate a color and I told her my vivid blue color would be perfect for his skin tones.

I love awake shots in newborns when we’re able to capture them. I love Kassius’s little side eye in the photo above. I can’t tell what he’s thinking but I bet it’s about milk! These shots are so cute to capture, but can also be tricky. The baby needs to be awake but also not fussy. I get a lot of requests for these shots, and I try my best to capture them.
