Best Manhasset Rustic Cake Smash Session

Aydin’s mom came to me with the idea of a rustic cake smash session. She loved the earthy tones and wanted something different than the other set ups she had seen on my blog. I did a little bit of brainstorming and came up with this cute, simple idea. I love when parents bring me an idea they have and trust my creativity to come up with an idea in line with my aesthetic vision.

We decided to go for my grey suede savage backdrop, tree trunk cake stand, and a naked cake. She purchase a simple green romper from amazon to complete the look. We had initially planned to use some plant sprigs on the cake, but then opted to stick with this clean look. I love keeping my aesthetic simple so the focus is on the baby.

Aydin had a blast at his session. He was a little shy at first, and took some time to warm up, and then gave us the cutest smiles. He loved playing with the wooden spoon I brought along. Happy 1st birthday Aydin!
