Best Cake Smash Session

Lyla loved her purple cake smash session! We of course had to do a purple theme since her newborn session was purple-based. I always encourage parents to continue the “theme” from the baby’s newborn session into their cake smash session. It creates a nice transition from when they were a newborn to their now, one year cake smash session.

I love seeing my clients from the newborn stage to the one year stage to see how their personalities have developed. Lyla looks so different than her newborn photos! I loved her bright blue eyes and chunky legs. I could definitely see a resemblance between her and her big sister, but also a lot of differences! She smiled and clapped during her portraits

Prior to the cake I’ll do two set ups- a portrait set up and a set up with my one letters. This is a good way to get them warmed up to the camera and also get variety within the session
