Best Milestone Session

It was so much fun capturing JJ’s milestone session. Too often these sessions aren’t done! I always encourage parents to book them, as they’re very different from the newborn and cake smash session. These are typically done around 6-9 months when your baby is sitting unsupported. Or, we can even do them in lieu of a traditional cake smash session! It’s never too early to book these shoots, as I take a limited number of sessions each month. A spot reserves your place in my books. Once your baby is getting close to sitting up, I’ll then schedule the session 3-4 weeks ahead of time.

I have a variety of outfits for clients to choose from for these shoots, and I always like to capture a few different set ups. Having a simple white onesie is even super adorable for these type of photos, and I encourage parents to have one on hand! Also some of my favorite are the nakie baby shots. Close ups also make beautiful portraits. JJ’s mom wanted a close up of his face/eyelash and we captured one for her! They’re not easy to capture macros at this age as a lot of time babies are wiggly, so some patience is certainly involved.
