Best Upper West Side Cake Smash

Dylan’s mom contacted me for a cake smash after her nephew did a cake smash with me a few years earlier! It’s one of the biggest compliments I can get, and how my business continues to grow.

Dylan loved trying out his cake and putting his fingers into the frosting. My secret is to place food items they’re familiar with on the cake. Babies will preferentially eat items they’re comfortable with. Small items like yogurt chips or puffs especially go well, as they easily blend into the cake. This makes it look like they’re eating the cake when they’re really not!

What really got him laughing and smiling was putting on his favorite song and video. Oftentimes we’ll have to replay it from the beginning, and it’s fun to watch kids get all excited again.

My favorite was when he scrunched his eyes after smiling. We couldn’t tell if it was his expression or his reaction to the light. Either way it was super cute!
