Bergen County Newborn | Lucy

Lucy’s Bergen County newborn session was extra special for me. I’ve been documenting her family’s newborn sessions since her oldest brother Ben was a newborn. Lucy’s mom and I actually know each other from our pediatric residency training in Long Island. Her mom is also a pediatrician and was my chief resident at Stony Brook where I did my training! When she was due with her little girl she contacted me right away to schedule a newborn session. I remember photographing both of her older sons’ sessions. Her eldest child Ben is now 5 years old. Prior to Lucy’s session I looked back on her older brothers’ newborn photos. I love seeing how my work has progressed over time. It’s such an honor when parents trust in my work and continue to hire me over the years as my work has evolved. It was also great to catch up with Lucy’s mom Lauren as well. Coming to photograph newborns is truly special, as I get to see family’s little ones before many of their family members have met the baby.
