Top Manhattan Newborn Photography Session

Isabelle did amazing for her newborn session. She was a very photogenic baby with the best skin tones, and molded into every pose I put her in. I was so excited after her session to edit a preview for her parents, especially the one of her and her fur sibling. Fur baby Jax did incredible for his solo shot with Isabelle, and looked right at me for the family photo as well. Sometimes it can be difficult to get pets to cooperate in photos. It’s always a good idea to have plenty of treats around to grab their attention.

Isabelle also had the sweetest little lips, and I had to get a macro shot of it. I love using my macro lens for detail shots. The trick with macro shots is making sure they are backlit so the light falls on them properly. Unlike normal newborn poses, macro shots should be backlit to create that ‘pop.’ Once backlit, they make for gorgeous images. I love when parents pick these images as part of their gallery, as they make such a sweet collage. These are the details you’ll want to remember forever!
