First Birthday Manhattan Photographer

Reed was one of those easy going babies who was super excited about her cake smash. She was all full of smiles, especially when her dad came in during the session to make her laugh. He knew exactly what to do! It’s so amusing watching babies during the session. Most of the time they haven’t had sweets, so are not used to the taste of frosting. Oftentimes we have to add something on top of the cake such as cheerios or pieces of fruit to make it look like they’re eating cake when they really aren’t! The trick works like a charm though when it comes to their favorite food items.

Her mom chose the gold lettered ONE cake with multicolored dots, and took my suggestions to pair it with the triangle flag banner, and pink dress. I think the cake, dress, and banner paired so perfectly together for Reed.

I provide all of the outfits for the pre-cake smash portraits that we do prior to the start of the session. Reed’s mom had showed me this white romper with lace collar that she bought for her. It matched my light wood set up so we went with it. I love all of the sweet smiles she gave me during her session!
