Lily absolutely loved her cake smash. I last saw her at her newborn photoshoot! It was so great to see how much she’s grown since, and to catch up with her family. Lily’s newborn shoot was right before everything shut down due to the pandemic.

I loved this detailed floral cake Lily’s mom chose from my cake selection list. She wanted something that stood out, but was also very girly and detailed. My baker, Jess, certainly has her eye on details when it comes to her cakes. She made this beautiful pink floral cake for her session.

Prior to the cake smash I aim to do a set-up of portraits of just the baby without the mess. I like to add variety to the shoot so parents can have nice classic portraits of their child. In keeping with the pink theme, Lily’s mom chose this light pink romper from the array of outfits I had brought for her to choose from. Everything is included in my cake smash sessions- precake smash outfit, cake smash outfit, cake, banner and “1” topper. You don’t need to provide a thing!
