NYC Cake Smash Photography Session

Romee’s cake smash session was a last minute booking. Typically I book my cake smash sessions at least 2 weeks in advance so parents can have time to select a cake for their session from my bakery. I’ll then coordinate the outfit and decor around the cake parents choose. Romee’s mom decided she wanted to do a session for her daughter around her first birthday and sent me a message asking if I had last minute availability. I let her know that I wouldn’t be able to get her a custom cake, but rather pick up a pretty pink cake from a nearby bakery and coordinate it with my pink Happy Birthday Banner. She was definitely all on board with the idea and we made Romee’s session happen just a few days later! This turned out to be one of my favorite cake smash sessions. I love how this super pretty cake from Nine Cakes matched with my pink banner and ruffley outfit. Romee was also a gorgeous, smiley baby and loved getting into her cake and gave me the widest grins for her session. She also decided her hands weren’t necessary for eating cake and went head in for it. I think this is the cutest thing when babies go in for their cake with just their mouths and I crack up every time this happens.
