Best Milestone Session NYC

Julian’s mom contacted me for a newborn session but unfortunately I was full at the time. I had met his family a few years back after photographing his older brother Joaquin’s cake smash session. Luckily I was able to fit Julian for a sitter session. He did so great! I was able to get so many different set ups and poses of him. His parents were so excited to take these photos, as they have family in Peru that they haven’t seen in over a year due to the pandemic. They were so excited to be able to capture this milestone to share with their family and friends abroad.

Many parents expect that the baby smiles throughout the entire session but that’s usually not the case. I love the sweet, innocent, serious faces as well. Julian was able to give us a mix of both smiles and sweetness.

One of my favorite photos is this tushy shot. It’s been a popular request for my sitter sessions and even one year cake smash sessions. Although, I have to say, it’s much easier to achieve when the baby doesn’t walk yet!

I am already looking forward to photographing his one year cake smash session in a couple of months!
