Neutral Newborn Session Boy
Luca’s mom was referred to me through a good friend of mine. She wanted a neutral newborn session for her little guy and didn’t want to include any props. Around her home she had images on display also with cream and white tones. It was only fitting that we kept with the same neutral scheme for Luca’s newborn session.
Luca and his big sisters did amazing for sibling shots. My jaw dropped when Luca’s 14 month old sister Serena laid down for sibling shots, smiled, and cooperated for family photos. It’s very rare for an older sibling under 2 to cooperate for newborn photos. I always go with the flow of the siblings, and we try what works. I tell parents not to stress if sibling photos are unsuccessful at this age, which is very typical. Serena was by far the youngest older sibling to cooperate for me. Not only did she lay down on the flokati rug that I brought, but she also gave me the absolute cutest smiles! Take a look at the first collage where she is admiringly looking at her little brother and grinning.
I also loved dad’s arm sleeve, and made sure to grab a shot with him holding Luca angled so that the tattoo sleeve was visible. I love the contrast between the soft white/grey colors in the image and the tattoo- it gives the sense of protection of his little boy.
