Best Queens Milestone Photography Session

Nicholas came to see me recently for his milestone session. A milestone session is typically done between 6-8 months when your baby is sitting up on their own for a few minutes at a time. Milestone sessions are a great way to capture the ‘in between’ stage between newborn and one year. This session is a great way to capture their little personalities, laughs and smiles.

What I love about milestone sessions are that you are able to get variety from laying the baby down and also from them sitting up. I love backlighting their profile, as seen in the image above.

I have known Nicholas’s family for a long time. I did Nicholas’s newborn photos, and hospital photos (when I used to do those in the past). I also photographed his big brother’s milestone and cake smash session. The funny thing is that Nicholas looks like his brother’s twin from his milestone photos. Even his mom said she has a hard time telling them apart at this age!

Children change so quickly in the first year of life, so it’s important to document these milestones. Milestone sessions are also great if you weren’t able to capture newborn photos, as the babies are still young and these images make great memories.
