Top In-Home Soho Newborn Girl Session

Purple definitely suited Lyla given that her name is close to the word lilac. We were able to incorporate a few different shades and tones of lilac into Lyla’s newborn session. I’m sure you can guess the colors we used for big sister Ruby’s session. Lyla certainly needed her own identifying color.

It’s amazing how similar sisters can look. I noticed subtle differences between Lyla and big sister Ruby, but overall there was a very close resemblance. Lyla was a little wiggly at first but then settled nicely, and flew through her session.

We were honestly amazed that Ruby laid down on my flokati rug long enough for me to snap a few shots of her with her little sister. I always let parents know in advance that siblings under the age of 3 may or may not cooperate for a sibling photo. Mom was surprised as she said the only photos she has of Ruby and Lyla are of Ruby hysterically crying! This was funny to watch during the family group shot. As soon as Ruby saw that one of her parents was holding Lyla, she began crying. It was a pure miracle we got these sibling shots!
