NYC Newborn Photography Session

Layla was a little gem during her newborn session. She was a teeny one, just above the 6 pound mark and photographed so well! Her mom knew exactly what she wanted for her daughter’s photo session. She chose soft pinks, grey and cream. Layla had the perfect skin tone, and looked great with all of the colors we used.

Big brother Jacob could not be more proud of his new role. His mom said he was so sweet with her, often coming over to her to give her kisses. Siblings three and under can be tricky for sibling and family photos. They are adjusting to the new transition of having a sibling and sharing attention. Jacob did SO great with his little sis. He loved holding her for the sibling shots, and watched me work as I posed her.

As a side note, Layla’s dad is a physician as well. Jacob had his own doctor kit and kids human body book. He was so proud to show me his stethoscope, thermometer and blood pressure cuff. He was also so excited to “read” me his book about the human body. When we got to the page about how the lung works, with mom’s prompts told me that “oxygen” enters the lungs and “carbon dioxide” leaves the lungs. I think that means he might be ready to become a neonatologist! 😉
