Top Upper East Side Newborn Session

Shayne’s mom was referred to me through another client. She was so excited for her little boy’s newborn session and picked blue and cream as the colors for his session.

It took a little while for Shayne to fall asleep so I reversed the order of the session and started with parent photos. Usually I start with the “harder” naked poses first and then wrap the baby towards the end of the session when they start to wake. Wrapping puts them right back into a deep sleep. Eventually Shayne gave in (as they all do!) and was fast asleep the entire end of his session. I’m pretty stubborn when it comes to photos and made sure I got everything I had initially planned to.

I absolutely love macro shots of babies. These are the features that change so quickly. Parents love remembering these little details. Macro shots are great to make a collage with or put together in a newborn album. They add great variety to a session as well.
