Top Westchester Baby Cake Smash Session

It was so great seeing Sloane and her family for her cake smash session. She changed so much since I saw her last at her newborn session. Luckily we were able to do Sloane’s newborn photos, as photography businesses were able to resume right before she was born.

Sloane was one happy lady, and loved her cake smash session. She was a natural in front of the camera. She smiled and danced in front of her cake. There was no stopping her. We also played some of her favorite songs and she happily wiggled to the beat of the music.

I always recommend a trial run with a cupcake prior to the session so that babies get used to the taste and texture of frosting. Sloane’s mom told me that she had no problem with her trial run, and cried hysterically when they tried to take the cupcake away. If anyone has worked with me during these sessions, they know how much I love crying photos of babies. So in order to get Sloane to cry at the end, you guessed it, we took away her cake. Worked like a charm 😉 Some may say that’s cruel, I think its super cute!

And lets not forget her delicious arm rolls. One of my favorites (and mom’s favorite) photo of her is the one of her with her arms and legs around the cake. I love when babies have arm rolls!
